Blade of Vengeance

[2022]

A surreal fantasy film that follows Joanne Marlow, a writer, as she is haunted by a warrior of the mythic past. This apparition compels Joanne to chronicle the events of his blood-drenched life as she grapples with her own sanity.

Conner Von Kuetzing’s most personal film to date, it is a story close to his heart, and much of it is set in the fantasy world that has been haunting Conner’s own dreams for more than a decade.

Once Upon a Time in the Wasteland

[2021]

A bounty hunter in a post-apocalyptic wasteland is hired to track down an outlaw named Delilah Sorrow. But he's not the only one out looking for her, and the job is nothing like he expected. A fifty-minute “epic” short, Once Upon a Time in the Wasteland was filmed with a skeleton crew of close-knit collaborators, while the world burned during 2020. It is a testament to the will of those involved, and inherent proof that the word “quit” just isn’t in Von Kuetzing’s vocabulary. It received Best Cinematography at the Vesuvius Film Festival in Italy.

Kill Your Darlings

[2019]

A film director finds out that her movie is going to be re-cut by a heartless executive. She decides to wait in his office overnight and kill him in the morning. It’s up to her friends and crew to talk her out of it before time runs out.

Conner Von Kuetzing’s thesis short from Seattle Film Institute is a noir satire full of violence, ambition, and the courage to stand up for one’s art and voice. It took home the award for Best Student Film at the West Sound Film Festival, as well as earning Conner the Best Student Director award at the Friday Harbor Film Festival.

Skim It!

[2018]

A Feature-Length Mockumentary about two amateur Skim Boarders who accidentally challenge beach legend, Hotshot, to a skim-off. Now they must seek out the help of beach guru Skim Milk in the hopes of besting Hotshot once and for all.

Co-written and directed by Conner Von Kuetzing, and the first feature film he produced. Skim It! went on to play at film festivals across the Pacific Northwest and received audience favorite feature film at the West Sound Film Festival that same year.
